Andreas Hampel.
Born 1964. Trained at Mittenwald violin making school. Worked with Martin Koch-Löbner, Konrad Stoll and Tobias Festl. Master classes with Jürgen von Stietencron in Italy. Prize winner at the Jacobus Stainer competition, Freiburg. German master's degree in violin making, 1992. Own workshop in Hamburg since 1992. Focus: Fine copies of old masterpieces.

Susanne Riebesehl.
Born 1967. Trained at Mittenwald violin making school. Worked for Edith Dittrich, Bern; and Andreas Post, Amsterdam. Master class in bow making with Hans-Karl Schmidt, Dresden. German master's degree in violin-making 1996. Since 1996, own studio working closely with Andreas Hampel. Focus: Restoration of fine stringed instruments and bows.

Musical Training:
Having studied violin with, among others, teachers at Hamburg conservatory , Andreas Hampel and Susanne Riebesehl currently play with both the Sinfonieorchester Eppendorf and the Hamburg Haydn Orchestra.
